The life and times of me from a sports and gaming prospective, with the occasional rant on anything that pisses me off at the moment!

Hockey on UL's Site 12/21/2011 9:26:00 AM

Guys I felt I needed to comment on the state of our hockey leagues here at United Leagues. To start everyone is doing a fantastic job in trying to get caught up. With SO MANY teams leaving when Fiddy left it put us all in a horrible situation. Personally speaking I've never had a problem with Fiddy and consider him a really niced guy. That being said things happen behind the scenes that we are not privy to so as to who is right or wrong in this instance we have to remember one thing. This is JM's site and he wants things run a certain way. Speaking from experience I've gotten irritated with the dreaded GNP ban but looking back I can see where the man is coming from. He is trying to avoid what is happening now in our hockey leagues. Stagnation!! We have a good thing going with these leagues and it beats the hell out of playing in the lobbies and the cheese tactics most people use. This is a "SIM" site and should be played as such. With the addition of our new owners there is no reason to believe that these leagues cannot be completed in a timely fashion. Everyone keep buckling down and get the GNP's down. I know it might be a little rough with Christmas and New Year's coming up, but we should be going into the New Year with optimism and sights on completion of these hockey leagues. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all and good luck the rest of the season!

Good words. I agree it is the only league I'm in right now that seems likeisn't really progressing and tons of games are needed to be played. To all the new guys good luck have fun and remember it's just a game win or lose the point is to have fun.

Thanks Patriot :)

When this happened we lost 8 total guys. I had the leagues filled in less than a day and we are moving again. This is what you guys are here for - completing of leagues and accountability...which we here hold very important.

I know you guys hat ethe GNP reports - but they are SO important to knowing the status of makes us keep moving...

Everyone know this - these NHL leagues WILL continue AND complete.

Cool!! The new blood should spring some life into the leagues. Remember it's two games a week if you can't get them in as sometimes is the case fill out the GNP report and that's it. My biggest pet peave with owners past and present is scheduling. If you make a play time with your opponent honor it! If you can't for some reason let them know asap so they're not hanging around waiting. Things like that cause antimosity and divison amongst one and other. My two cents Happy New Year All!!

I can easily handle two games as long as other people are available when I am. There are a few days a week where I'm way more available, but I should have no issues. If you ever want a Ranked game, send me a message!

It's only going to get better. We have a good core and going forward I can see only expansion.
