I'll use my blog to pretty much bitch and moan about how I get screwed in every game I seem to play. Also will do some blogging about the Buckeyes and random things going on here in the great city of Asheville.
Obama in Asheville tomorrow(sun)!10/4/2008 1:01:00 PM
So the NEXT president of the us has decided to make a stop here in the mountains of western NC. This is almost as sweet as when Bill Clinton came a few months ago during the primaries. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out though, with this being such a "hick" area. This is the area of NC he needs to hit hardest for that very reason. Although this is a very liberal city.........it still doesn't make up for the people who won't vote for him just b/c of his race, as much as I hate to say it. Things could be changing here though w/ a long standing republican representative losing out to former NFL bust Heath Shuler who ran as a Dem a few years back. It's just a matter of people here getting out and voting, which always seems to be very low around here.

I like to pay people to vote. Usually works like a charm. How did the visit by the o-man go over among the hill folks?

Actually it went very well from what I can tell. It was live on a local channel here so I just watched it. I just think its funny that Palin came out and said that Obama is "palling around with terrorists", and McCain says we need to "turn the page on the economy". Why turn the page on the economy when its CLEARLY the BIGGEST issue we are facing right now. It was pretty good though when Obama said McCain was giving the americans the "Okie-Doke", lol! Obama is the man

They actually aired parts of his speech from here on CNN most of the day yesterday. He's been here since Saturday and I think he's leaving today or in the morning. Its clear McCain knows he won't win if the economy is still the main issue, so of course he wants to "turn the page" on the economy. He can't talk about Iraq either, b/c too many people are upset about that.....Sorry McCain, but I'm afraid your chances of being Pres are straight down the shitter.....along w/ OJ being free
