College Football Picks of the Week (10/7)
10/7/2008 2:11:00 PM
So after a humble 2-1 start in my first week of displaying my picks on this blog, I am back with some more of my assessments, this week free of any sentimental value. (We would have covered if it weren't for the FIVE turnovers, c'mon Ags)
Troy (-3.5) @ Florida Atlantic (Tuesday Night Game)
Larry Blakeney's philosophy behind making schedules is to hook up with national powerhouses to ready his team for Sun Belt conference play. Though Troy's record doesn't look too appealing, they have been better tested than the bunch from FAU.
Texas v. Oklahoma (-6.5) (Neutral Site)
Easy pick, Sam Bradford and the number 1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners will come into the Cotton Bowl and steam roll the media darling Texas Longhorns.
Tulsa (-25) @ SMU
Tulsa's high powered offense marched in to Houston and posted a 63 on the scoreboard. Not only did they flirt with 70 points, but they held Rice's prolific passing attack head by Jarrett Dillard to only 28 points. Couple that with the fact that SMU is averaging around 24 points and a game, and has the 5th worst defense in the FBS one has to like the proposition of only giving up 25 points.
Once again, the disclaimer... I'm not responsible with what you do with my picks. Happy Betting!
