OK guys, we have completed the draft.

I have 1 team open and it will be filled very soon.

If you haven't already, I need everyone send me your starting pitching roster:

Please go into the game and send me your 5 man starting pitcher rotation in the following format:

Texas Rangers:

M. Henry
J. Smith
H. Jones
T. Griffen
D. Jacoby

Failure to send them in the above format and they will be rejected so that you will have to redo them.

Don't think about getting by with only 4 pitchers - You must have 5 on your rotation even if you don't use all 5.

Also, If you haven't done so, please read the forum post about pitchers HERE.

Spring Training Tournaments. will be up here very soon - be on the look out for them. Reminder: Anyone that wins a tournament gets moved up in the draft 1 spot for next season...You may use any starting pitcher that is on your roster. Game settings are the same as ranked games. USE YOUR LEAGUE TEAM.

Ranked Games. Reminder: The top 5 owners earn potential draft spot improvements.

As far as the start of the season, we will be waiting for patch #1 to hit before we begin. So hang tight and get those ranked games and tournament games in!!!

Settings - They have been posted in the PSBL FAQ. Read it all!! We ADMINS talked this over the past week or so and what we came up with was in the best interest for the PSBL in our eyes. Also, read the Global UL FAQ , just to brush up on what the site is about etc.

Pitchers - I will be adding the Pitchers for each team just this one time only. This is to get everyone ready on time etc. Now when the season starts you are responable for letting me know who needs added etc. You should know how to do this by now bc you have read the FAQ.

Ranked Games - Since this game takes a while to play (even with fastplay on) im gonna allow you guys to play 5/7/9 inning Ranked Games. Up to the guys playing the game what they want to do. Now obviously League Games are 9 innings (figured i'd post that before someone asked the question lol). IMO this will encourage guys to play more bc you can get games in quicker with 5 innings being allowed. All other League Settings must be used though!!

Headsets - Since they work this year, these will be mandatory to have on and use. Now, with that said i need to know who doesnt have one as of right now. I'm gonna set a deadline very soon for everyone to snag some. Lets just say for now, the deadline will be Sunday April 4th. I think thats enough time to be able to go out and grab a cheap one to use. This is something that is mandatory on the 360 side of things here and finally we can use them here. So check the Headset Thread out and let me know..

Play some Ranked Games and get used to your team and settings bc the season will start before you know it..

As for other things that expected in the league. GNP's, Communication, Feedbacks etc.. They are all covered in the FAQ's. No babysitting like last year. If ya cant follow what we got then you will be removed. If you have any questions about anything, email me. Dont send an MSN message bc i may not get it. Just email me and i will respond ASAP.

I have opened up the last 2 weeks of the regular season.

The Deadline for all games is Sunday March 28th at 8:00 AM EST. The playoffs will begin on the same day.

Any owner with unplayed games after the deadline will have their account reviewed and most likely suspended from further hockey leagues.

You have 3 weeks from today to get these games in, that includes an extra week.

Play your games, if we finish earlier, we can start the playoffs earlier.

To avoid any confusion, this league will be played on the World Cup 2010 game, not FIFA 10!

The league confirmation deadline as begun - the ONLY way to get confirmed is to get your league fee in. You should see the paypal / credits info in your Owner Console. Once you get your league fee in you will be added to the draft list. Not before!! There is no signup thread.

WHAT IS THE REGULAR SEASON OVERTIME FORMAT?

Before the game starts. Go into the settings. Then rules. Set the overtime to "5 on 5" 5 minutes. Now, when you send the game invite make sure the Rules are set to "CUSTOM" before you invite the other player. Home team reports the tie in the system. We dont do this in the main UL Hockey Leagues but can here because its a Private League.

Dates to be aware of:

Returning owners deadline: Wednesday, March 17
Confirmation deadline: Friday, March 19
Draft begins: Saturday, March 20
League begins: TBD

All dates may move forward if the league fills up beforehand.

This league will operate as a regular FIFA league (no transfers, no keeper teams, etc.), 2 games per week against the same owner. 15 weeks, with each team getting 1 bye week, so a total of 28 games in the regular season.

Remember that there are only 15 MLS teams on FIFA 10, so once we have 15 confirmed owners, the league will move forward with the draft.

I will try to integrate a cup competition during the season if the GNPs stay down, as well.

Ok guys, confirmation deadline to confirm spots has just passed. You can see the order below. If you are the one guy that got left out, dont sweat it. Like every league people bail out and even dont respond to the draft email. So be on your toes on the waiting list.

Now, for Season 3 we will be going with 24 teams. The reason we went that route was to keep all the divisions in tact and still have a realistic baseball feel for the PSBL. Anything less would have taken away from that.

Schedules are now in the system. You will see these missing teams. Blue Jays, Royals, Nationals, Brewers and Padres. These teams can still be drafted, i will just add them in place of another team. I had to remove those teams to get the schedules in the system with 24 teams.

Check the dates above, also keep your eyes on your email for PSBL updates etc.

WHAT IS THE OVERTIME FORMAT?

Preliminary Rounds will be 5 min 4 v 4 overtime. Then a Shootout.
Playoff Rounds will be a 10 min 5 v 5 period. Then Shootout. BOTH owners write stats down after 3 periods of play. Restart the game with 10 minute periods. If no goal is scored BOTH owners take down stats again. Then go to online shootout mode to finish the game. The online shootout will be set for 3 players.
Gold Medal Round will be a 20 min 5 v 5 period. Then Shootout. BOTH owners write stats down after 3 periods of play. Restart the game with 20 min periods. If no goal is scored BOTH owners take down stats again. Then go to online shootout mode to finish the game. The online shootout will be set for 3 players.
Yes, we know that 5 v 5 is not used in the Olympic overtimes. But its best for the League to have longer overtimes.

How The Tournament Will Be Run..

Upon completion of the preliminary round, teams will be ranked 1 through 12. The top four ranked teams (1 though 4) will receive byes to the quarter-final round. The remaining eight teams will compete for the remaining four quarter-final positions.

The winner of Qualification Playoff (8 vs 9) will play the top-seeded 1 in the quarter-finals. The winner of Qualification Playoff (5 vs 12) will play 4, the winner of Qualification Playoff (7 vs 10) will play 2 and the winner of Qualification Playoff (6 vs 11) will play 3.

The losers of the qualification playoff round games will receive a final ranking of 9 through 12 based on their preliminary round ranking.

The losers of the quarter-final round games will receive a final ranking of 5th through 8th based on their preliminary round ranking.

The losers of the semifinal games will compete for the bronze medal and 4th place, while the winners of the semifinal games compete for gold and silver.

Hey guys, Season 8 is here!!

As you know we will be using 12 of the latest expansion teams from the NHL since 1979. We will be using "Custom Settings" like in Season 6. Why? So we can use the "5 on 5" 5 minute overtime rules. If no winner at the end of overtime obviously the game ends in a tie. The home team will report the tie in the system. Remember, if you win in OT you get 2 points, the loser 0 points.

The submit score feature will not show an option for overtime. Reason for that is, if we had that option there and you checked it the system thinks we are tracking overtime loses and will hand out a point. So only way to get ties and wins to register how we need them there wont be an overtime option.
